Tipping the Moving Company
Tipping the movers, and how much
amount to tip, is always a very hard decision, but if you
remember the following things in mind, you'll definitely find an
appropriate answer.
Tipping is advisable if you are satisfied with the good service
of the moving company. If you think you aren't getting good
service, don't feel obliged to tip. Tipping should be held in
reserve for those movers who do their job accurately.
* Offer cold drinks, coffee or anything which is appropriate as
per the weather and time of day. Also offer food if the move
takes some time and extends over the lunch period; pizza,
sandwiches, something faster which they can have while on the
move.
* In case of one or two movers, tip may range from $40-60 (to
split if there are two) depending on how hard the move was
(stairs, weighty boxes, uncomfortable items, etc...).
* In case of more than one mover, the tip should be
approximately $20 per person and present all the money to the
supervisor of the mover so they can divide it later.
* If you have got extremely remarkable service, tips can range
up to $100. But the movers have to be truly good, truly obliging
and do somewhat beyond the call of duty, like helping with last
minute packing, taking the time to cautiously wrap delicate
items. That's certainly the symbol of a truly superior and kind
mover.
